WAR RISK SURCHARGE
EXTEND : 2nd period - 2001.11.10 - 2001.12.09

To whom it may concern
Since our implementation of War Risk Surcharge from
Oct.,10th 2001, Warlike situation and insurance companies
applying of War Risk Premium were changed.
Therefore we would like to change War Risk Surcharge rate
as folloiws ;
@ 4th Period : January 10, 2002 -
@ Rate : NO APPLY WAR RISK SURCHARGE.
@ Rate is subject to change depending on Warlike situation.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN
We wolud like to advise you that since the 26th of September, 2001,
heavy war risk premium has been leviedfor those vessels passing
Suez Canal, calling at Gulf of Aqaba,Red Sea,Arabian gulf ports
and adjacent waters, which were defined as war risk areas by
Insurance Companies due to TERRORISTS' ATTACK against U.S.A.
This premium has been increasing in line with the higher stress and
has increased to the level where Owners(Hyundai Merchant Marine)
and shipping companies cannot absorb.
Therefore, Owners ( Hyundai Merchant Marine ) are forced to
implement the War Risk Surchage ( W R S ) from the 10th of
October, 2001.
This surcharge is calculated on basis of actual premium for
the period from the 26th of September - 5th of October,2001
and is to be revised on monthly basis afterwards.
" WRS " is subject to change depending upon development of war,
and a further notice for the shipment after the 10th of January,
2002 will be followed later.
1st Period of Validity :
@ 10th of October - 9th of November, 2001
2nd Period of Validity :
@ 10th of November - 9th of December, 2001
3rd Period of Validity :
@ 10th of December - 9th of January, 2002
War Risk Surcharge :
@ All Nations passing Suez Canal : USD0.29 per R/Tonne
*(i.e.all nations in Mediterranean Sea,Europe and North Africa Areas)
